~*~  Mama's  Pot  ~*~

 ~*~ Mama's Pot ~*~ Photobucket

A candle in the window
was Mama's welcome sign
Strangers knocking at the door
were soon set down to dine

She wouldn't take a single dime
for her soup and bread
Amazing...the pot held broth
'til everyone was fed

Just a barefoot,tattered child
I was not positive
How Mama with so little
could have so much to give

I didn't understand it...
It was a mystery
Mama's pot was always full...
never was it empty

As I grew in Grace and Truth
the scales fell off my eyes
Searching through the word of God
I came to realize

Mama's pot held miracles
And now I understand
The soup was multiplied by
her faith and by His Hand
