Life
Life
Sometimes the path ahead is hard
Twisting with hurdles and bends
But past these we must travel
To reach our true journey's end
Some day's the road seems easier
Perhaps the hurdles are past?
Then around the bend another one comes
For sure it won't be the last!
For our life path is to teach us
Vital lessons we have to learn
We may have to face many obstacles
Surprises at every turn
But if the road was only smooth
How would we learn at all?
How vulnerable we would become
If at some point we did fall?
How would we know how to move on?
What reserves would we pull upon?
If we never knew any darkness or pain
We would never hear joys song!
When we have walked through life's storms
And come through the other side
For sure we will see a rainbow
So sure, so deep and wide
This will be our true destiny
When all lessons have been learned
And in our hearts a strength never known
The prize that we have truly earned!
