I'VE    GONE    BANANAS

It's so warm in here
And it's cosy
Lay on my back
In glee
Thinking about my appetite
And what I shall have for tea

I feel fruity and ever so naughty
As I peel off
To see myself browned
Then muse on the fact that I'm sizzling
And wonder
“What is that sound?”

Yikes, me thinks something is burning
As I roll in deep smouldering juice
My temperature
Is definitely rising
Though I think
I am about to be abused

I laugh as she tips me
Into thin air
And waits with a dish
So lazy
She sets me to eat
On a bed of ice cream and
Swamps me in maple syrup
Till I feel hazy

How I love
Being a banana split
It's absolutely crazy
Better that
Than a bowl of cold diced fruit
Someone hacking me
Into tiny pieces
Some people can be total brutes
