Love Like That Staggers My Mind
When I think of the King of all Kingdoms
Leaving His royal robes behind
To put on the cloak of a servant
Love like that staggers my mind.
When I entertain thoughts of the Savior
As He opened the eyes of the blind,
Held out His hand to the crippled,
Love like that staggers my mind.
Love like that's never been equaled.
No greater love's touched mankind.
He laid down His life for my freedom.
Love like that staggers my mind.
When my thoughts turn to Calvary's cruelty,
Uncaring, unjust, and unkind.
Yet He cried our "Father, forgive them."
Love like that staggers my mind.
When 'ere I give vision to Heaven,
Picture what God's Word defines.
I wonder how I could be worthy.
Love like that staggers my mind.
Love like that's never been equaled.
No greater love's touched mankind.
He laid down His life for my freedom.
Lord, love like yours staggers my mind.
Lovingly in Christ,
Doris Jacobs-Covington
"For God so loved the world He
gave His only begotten Son, that
who-so-ever believeth in Him should
not perish but have ever lasting life."
John 3:16 KJV
