Winter 1776 the year of our Lord
Brave men took up musket and sword
Ready to die they answered the call
Rallying for freedom one and all
Unloyal and traitors to the Crown
Were the words the British spread around
With faith in God and a strong will
For freedom men gave their lives at Bunker Hill
Cold of winter short of food and shot
The Patriots held true to their chosen lot
English Generals the best of their time
Could not read freedoms signs
Gathering of heroes like never before
Stood and fought in the Revolutionary War
The bells of Liberty rang loud and clear
Freedom for our country was near
With courage they carried the battle
On foot and from the saddle
Men rode and stood side by side
Thousands for the beliefs died
Those brave fathers from our past
Who were willing to die to the last
What was won and proclaimed back then
Is rights and freedom for all men
