 The National Poetry Guards
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

My Names Lt Matt, from the National Poetry Guards
Then there's Capt Cliff, a master of the poetic arts
The National Poetry Guards are a band of real brothers
They have people cowering under covers
Their spear like pencils are sharpened at both ends
They our fiercely loyal to their friends
Now I know you've heard of the Romans and the Spartans
But we've got bigger balls, larger than the tits of Dolly Partons
Their intellect and wit (brains not balls) and free flowing verse
Makes other armies retreat back into reverse
The National Poetry Guards were brought into play
Because of other poets going astray
It happens sometimes, it happened in Vietnam
When man fought against their fellow man
It's expected, in Wars and battle
Under pressure, the weak follow the weak, just like cattle
But weak minds, brings weak poetry
Hence the forming of The National Guards of Poetry (to set you free)
We keep ones minds firmly fixed on the creative aspects
Not trying to be someone you're not, like a comedy staring Ben Affleck
We stop others forcing ones beliefs down anothers throat
And acting like naughty children, rocking the boat
For now is the time to end the petty bickering and gossip
Or trying to rage a dictatorship
Freedom speech is welcome here
Be you black, white, straight or queer
The National Poetry Guards, will upheld the spirit of poetry
If you feel you are in trouble or need our services, come and get me
Capt Cliff or I, will be glad to help you get your creative juices flowing
So come and join our forces, lets keep this going!
