I will celebrate another year gone by, a birthday if you will!
As some pass fast, while others drag, as if time was standing still!
I remember when I was nine, for double digits I could not wait! Until I reached twelve all was fine, my life was going great!
Then to be a teen oh wow! 13 how awesome would that be! A teenager sounded good somehow I was happy as could be!
Now 16 was that magic age! Old enough to drive a car! my life was taking center stage! But I still didn't stray too far!
Ahh yes! 18 Finally an adult! No one can tell me what to do! An age where everything's someone else's fault! (It couldn't possibly be you!)
Being 18 was kind of fun, but I really can't wait to be 21! I wished my birthdays away from the time I celebrated my very first one! Now I just wished they would just slow down before my life is done!
I'll be forty seven On the first day of spring and As I celebrate I'll also Pray! For The children to all enjoy your youth, and don't wish your life away!
