Enemy of God

I see the young girl on the bus being embarrassed by her screaming baby
Her motherly instinct doesn't shine through
With her remarks like, “shut up you bloody sod!”
Enemy of God
Children smoking, drinking swearing on the corner of my street
They know me and give me a knowing nod
But they will only grow up
An enemy of God
I see strangers kiss in bars, pretending they know each other
Lovers after a few beers and a couple of senseless sentences
A slap on the arse and a romp in the bog
Giving birth to an enemy of God
