seconds thought a seconds breath

The beauty of a thousand drums
Echoes my mortal heart
My eyes are vacuums of empty suction
Life is slipping away
Panic and fear engulf me
A cold chill of death goes down my back
Hope is slipping away
Regrets and dreams fly be me
The reality of it all is open now
But I do not like it
Life is slipping away
The heart beat lowers to a whisper
My eyes get heavy
My life is gone
Peace surrounds me
I am no longer cold
Hope and faith guide me home
I realize I was never living
I am comforted by death
A seconds thought, a seconds breath
