~+~Every Promise Of The Father~+~
In an attitude of humbleness
I came before The Lamb.
With a prayer upon my lips
And a Bible in my hand,
I pointed to the Scripture
I wanted Him to see.
Then I asked,"Sweet, Jesus,
Can this one be for me?"
And He said, "Yes, yes, my child-
Every Word is true.
The Scripture says whoever will
And that's including you.
This Book speaks about salvation,
peace and prosperity.
Every promise of The Father
Is available through Me."
"But, Jesus," I protested,
"Lord, I just don't have the nerve.
You're making me an offer
That I really don't deserve.
For there's a chance I'll mess up big.
You see, I sometimes do."
But He answered, "It is written
I'll clean up that mess for you."
"But, Lord, I can't be perfect,"
I protested once again.
"Within yourself, you cannot, child,
But I died for your sin.
You're covered by the blood I shed
That day on Calvary.
From now on your perfection
Is only found in Me."
And He said, "Yes, yes, my child-
Every Word is true.
The Scripture says whoever will
And that's including you.
This Book speaks about redemption,
Health, hope, and charity.
Every promise of The Father
Is available through Me."
