Words convey so much meaning,
Choosing the right ones is sometimes hard,
We certainly don't want to be demeaning,
We have to choose them with some regard.
But most of the time if you follow your heart,
It will tell you the words to say,
You can do just fine for the most part,
And sometimes you can make another person's day.
The strangers that we meet today,
Could be the friends of tomorrow,
So be careful what you have to say,
And don't cause any more sorrow.
Giving a friend an encouragement or two,
With some well placed words,
Can help them begin their life anew,
No matter what has occurred.
The words that you save for that special one,
Should be as fresh as the morning dew,
Once you know their heart is won,
Tell them with feeling, “I love you!”
So words are more than you think they are,
Don't let them just fall out of your mouth,
Think before saying and you will go far,
Toward being a person that counts.
