the drowning drifter

My life could never be
Just pure and easy
Never understanding true reality
So much falsehood in my ideas
To much confusion to face my fears
A sea of drowning souls
Anchored to the seabed with life's toils
Sunken, like the once great battleships
Grasping for life after another broken relationship
Being eaten alive by loan sharks
But I don't sleep on sea beds, but parks
I awaken from another dream
I wake to what could've never have been
I pack up my thoughts and into the wind
A drifter, mortally sinned
I am the drifter a ghost of the roads
A drowning drifter with no fixed abode
