the man in the box

He lived in a box
A box that protected me
People walked by
And look in and see
A man in a box, so tired and scared
Of what lay outside his little fragile world
The cruelness of a mans action
Supported by a flimsy cardboard box?
A castle too him, strong wall of a proud man
It sheltered him from a storm of feelings
Yet the winds of jealousy and rage damaged the walls daily
He was just a man in a box
Protected and safe
No need for friends
A bareness of simple pleasures
Just a man in a box?
