 The Unfairness Of Angels

dreamweavertheunfairnessofangels
the travelers song

It was that unused back sack
This turned my thoughts to looking back
Upon my years of living
Whilst looking on to London from my flat
I realized I had nothing to lose
I have had enough of hopeless causes and others blues
The same old faces in the same old places
I know that nothing ever changes
I have decided to work night and day
To save and put that money away
It was not long till that back pack
Was once again on my back
Just me and the world
No one can hurt me anymore
I left all that behind when I shut the door
I was ready to explore this human zoo
To find a place where I belong
To met new friends and maybe lovers
And true men who I could call brothers
To find new cultures and ideas
To talk deeply over cheaper beers
I want to see slums, towns and villages
Along the way I will collect mother's kisses
I have a lot to think about
I have till my money runs out
I only needed food and shelter nothing more
I found that it was better to share
And even better to care
Good thoughts kept in by the surrounding mountains, jungles and sea
I had found the real me
I thought about choosing a new profession
Turn my back on drinking sessions
To embrace a new dream
So many places I have been
I decided to stay in a little house behind the mountains beside the sea
I place where I can, mum I am so happy
Come and see me some time
Just to let me know that you're fine and I will sing you the traveler's song
About a world like yours, where I don't belong
