The longest time ago in space
Something out there it took place~
Back in time it happened then
So long ago away back when~
The smallest little star it broke away
From it's mother and went astray~
Facing life all on it's own
And on all through space without a home~
Many many years they went by
Shining ever brightly in our sky~
Experts gave it names so nice
As it slowly traveled as cold as ice~
Doing all it could do to please
Drifting alone over time with ease~
Thinking it would never ever belong
While writers here wrote of it in song~
All of those years of travel far
Twinkle twinkle little star~
Eventually all of it's dreams came true
It found a home as it flew on through~
It joined a cluster of much the same~
And in doing so it then became~
All dreams do eventually do come true one day
For proof just gaze up at the milky way~
