 A Taste Of GOD

Funny how we take for granted
The food, water and all God planted
Upon this Earth, this rock our home
Carved by hand, His hands alone

His precious sphere would grow the fruit
On trees seeded that would take root
To feed the souls He made and treasures
Just one more thing we fail to measure

The crops harvest in hills that roll
Across the plains that feed his fold
Of fruits so sweet and tart in flavor
These gifts, a taste of God our Savior

The Milk of beast, Honey of bee
The sweet of Chocolate are just but three
Of many tastes that God would give
To man He loves to help him live

The coffee bean when brewed that makes
That cup of java that helped you wake
The sugar sweet from sugar cane
To stir the brew for man so vain

The zest of fruit, garnish and spices
That add the taste of sacrifices
Made for you He too did make
The best of God for granted take
