An Angel's Lily Field
An Angel watches over her lilies
tends to them with loving care,
waters them every single day
whilst the breeze blows through her hair.
Blue birds fly above her head
she stops to hear them sing,
thanks God for their beauty
such wonderment, they do bring.
She's tended to her field
for many, many years,
whenever one happens to die
she sadly wipes away her tears.
She watches another grow
takes place of the last one,
holds a smile, once again
beneath the morning sun.
