It's forty degrees
this beautiful morning,
thoughts uncertain,
as the world,
going to walk
our dog Gypsy around
the lake,
see if we can
trim some pain
off the roots
of hell,
in the distance
there's always
a scheme in progress.
undefeated
in the truth
of it.
