I eagerly arise with the ethereal mists,
before the rising of the blazing sun.
I slither off to the dark cool, oozing
depths of the green waters in search
of my morning meal.
A savage hunger gnaws my stomach and
the thirst for blood pounds in my throat.
In the mottled green of the brush I eagerly
await the arrival of my victim, ears tuned to
all the strange sounds of the humid jungle.
At last I see what I've waited so patiently for.
Slowly, warily it approaches the cool waters,
a giant, clumsy plodding beast of weathered grey.
When it unwarily lowers its head to the waters,
I strike ferociously with talons raised and teeth
slashing,tearing at its soft underbelly.
After the short bloody struggle the great beast
falls to the ground and I roar in victory,
proving once again that I the great T-Rex
am the mightiest of all beasts.
