Big bad Goliath, a giant yes indeed
A mighty force to be reckoned with,
Till the day he meet Jesse's seed

Now David was the youngest of Jesse's
Sons, a little guy, I guess you could
Call him, the runt, but his size was
Misleading, he tackled a lion and bear
Left them dead and bloody, a good
Looking kid, fair skinned and ruddy

Ole Goliath had every man in town,
Shaken and intimidated, as he hurled
Accusations against the living God
So sure no man could ever take him

But God had a plan all worked out,
Though Jesse's sons couldn't see it
As one by one, they were eliminated,
To fight this giant intimidator

The prophet inquired, was there any more
Sons, when God finished saying no, to
Each one, Jesse shook his head as he
Replied, I've yet one small Shepard lad,
who in no wise can be pitted against
This giant Philistine, but at the prophets
Insistence, David was fetched from the
Flocks that day

As the prophet's eyes meet the lads
God said this is he, I will be
Glorified today, with the faith of a
Mustard seed

Goliath spewed out threatenings, and
Laughed at the little lad, but
David wasn't worried when he took in
Goliaths size, he was quite indignant
As he laid the armor aside, who
Is this uncircumcised Philistine?
"Nothing" in my Gods eyes

Five smooth stones and a slingshot
That not much weaponry, but added to
Davids grain of faith, he had all that
He would need

In the name of his God, David flung
A stone, God directed it to the only
Spot, Goliaths armor wasn't on

Goliath hit the ground with a mighty
Thud, the folks looked on in astonishment
David cut off ole Goliaths head, with his
Own sword that day, I tell you true
Just goes to prove whats oft been said,
A little is a lot when God is in it

A mustard seed indeed is small, but that's
All we'll ever need, a little bit of
Faith in a great big God, gives us the
Victory.
