Who am I?
I am the son of a great King,
But no contender for His throne,
I was of a humble woman born,
But the King knows me by name.
I cannot walk up to His throne,
But He listens when e'er I speak,
I have not yet shaken his hand,
But He gives me a hand each week.
The King has wealth beyond compare,
He provides sufficient for me,
The King, He is so generous,
He expects the same from me.
The King, colourfully creative,
To all, his handiwork shares,
Seems he passed right on to me,
A great love of nature to share.
So who is this son of a King?
Do we even know his name?
You'll find his name on this page,
It's this humble poet, yes, it's me.
Tell me then, you rightly ask,
Who is your father, this King?
Well, I am an adopted son,
Of the Eternal King of Kings.
