 FREEDOM    LOST

A key in the lock and my freedom is gone
You make me nervous, look what I have become
A shadow of myself, those early days were so good
Feeling like this, I never dreamt that I could

Anxiety and fear because your temper is cruel
No kindling required to add to your fuel
A red mist pervades and your brain becomes loose
Encouragement from me is lost in making a truce

What lurks deep in the dungeons of your mind
Stumbling around wondering what someone might find
An ogre, a demon, a savage of the night
Is there anyone here who could temper your plight

Darks gardens hide a manifestation of life
Shadows creep forward, dismal nightmares are rife
Turn the key, unlock your salvation, change the wrongs into rights
Return the man I remember, a loving and familiar sight
