He was just a lad back in his day
Went to the movies of the time~
He never liked the bad guys at all
Loved the blokes that walked the line~
Seen his share of wrong doers in town
And did not like what they would do~
Most of all married men and women
Who were cheating on each other true~
He took it all on himself did he
To right a wrong when ever he could~
As he saw himself as those he admired so
In the movies who were good~
He rode his little bike all over town
Most of his free time when not at school~
Would notice all sorts of things would he
Most of all those that broke the rule~
He saw a married man he knew
In a parked car with a girl from out of town~
So he rode out to see his wife that day
And told her what was coming down~
He noticed a bloke stealing fire wood
From an old ladies yard~
And knew that she was struggling
Had had life pretty hard~
So he later stacked her wood away
All into a makeshift shed~
And told her who was taking it
Told her to report on him instead~
All sorts of wrong were righted then
And no body ever knew~
What a little boy upon his little bike
Just what good good he could do~
He hated good folks being used
In any sort of way at all~
As back then times were really hard
He'd do his best to see the bad guys fall~
He knew he was invisible as can be
Just a small boy on a bike it's so~
But if he knew of a wrong being done
He would let the others know~
He solved more crimes as a lad
Than any ever back then could~
The word got around that someone
Was the protector of the good~
They thought it was the milkman
The local postman maybe too~
But wrongs in town they then dropped a lot
Because they never really knew~
He heard people talking about this
Of a phantom eye that always sees~
And not a good idea to do wrong
Because he was around as much as bees~
Men stopped cheating on their wives
And woman stayed real true~
Children all gave up stealing things
They watched every wind that blew~
But nobody ever knew at all
Who righted so many wrongs~
A little boy who rode a bike
In T shirts shorts and thongs~
