Keep The Faith!
Keep the faith I've heard it said,
And yes, I do agree,
Because its faith that kept me going,
When the doc's gave up on me!
I like to think there's something there,
After we're dead and gone,
But even if there isn't,
Still I feel I've won.
My faith is what keeps me going,
When things get really rough,
I never gave in, I fight to win,
Coz I'm made of pretty tough stuff!
So every time things get iffy!
When me bod was ready to die...
There I was faith to the fore!
I need to believe, that's why...
No matter the trials of my life!
I never questioned why,
If I hadn't have had faith to cling to,
I would surely have let myself die!
The body can only take so much,
But then who's to say that's not right?
My burdens are heavily weighed down...
And so another reason to fight!
God made me a tough little cookie,
I'm able to face it head on,
Lift up my chin, determined to win,
For the end of my life isn't yet done!
So yes, I keep the faith!
Because at the end of the day,
Tis a personal thing, to believe or not,
And no matter, its just my way!
Keep the faith, yes I will,
I'll never give up the good fight,
I'll plough on through, its the least I can do,
Until its time to turn out my light!
