Just A Melody…
Where did that music come from?
Was it floating round your head?
Did the words just come to mind?
As you lay upon your bed!
Are they from the heart?
Or from a tormented mind!
Has life been so awful?
Were you treated so unkind?
Is it just a melody?
Thought up form thin air?
You sing with so much feeling!
As though you really care!
Do you have such feeling?
To sing of so much sadness!
Of peace and war, love and things,
And of other peoples madness?
Why is life so painful?
Why is life so sad?
Bittersweet is what it is!
Nothing should be that bad!
