At Heavens Gate
Sometimes I wonder if I'll make
The grade to cross through Heaven's gate
A chance to be with those I love
With hope we gaze at skies above
Prayers I've kept and hold today
That my small tasks down here will pay
My dues with work that GOD will see
The man who tried so faithfully
I've sinned no less in life my bouts
Where more was less I lived without
The CHRIST I've come to know today
JESUS my Lord now and always
Inspired by my GOD who made
This world unique that lives enslaved
By sin beyond man's comprehension
Like us who GOD caught our attention
My walk down here just puts a dent
If that is all I'm sure Hell's bent
In changing what has been instilled
Inside a soul CHRIST now fulfills
Each step taken and word I share
Of my savior will help me tear
A contract signed by someone lost
Like mine CHRIST tore who payed the cost
It's up to me to lend a hand
To pull my weight and help the damned
For dreams I have where sin no more
Will keep not one from Heaven's door
At Heaven's Gate, CHRIST waits for me
This man once slave, now son set free
