My Dentist, Especially For You!I felt compelled to write this poem Because I think you are a star, And I just want to let you know, You're the best, oh yes you are. For a long time now, As you will agree, My poor mouth's been up the wall, It was a mess you see. My two front teeth were ruined, And as sharp as sharp could be, And a gap appeared there, It was embarrassing to me. But I asked of you one day, Could you help me out? And fix this horrid gap of mine, Coz I hated it, aint no doubt! Well you said to me… That of course you would, And I knew that you'd put it right, Because I knew you could. Well what can I say? You truly are just bril, You closed the gap, just like that, And bless me, what a thrill. I've always been a smiler, But now, just wait and see, I wear a great big grin, So I send this thanks from me. You'll never know how much it means, To have the confidence to smile, Without feeling uncomfortable, As I did, for a very long while! So here it is, Spoken from my heart, Especially to you from me, The nicest dentist ever was, And as clever as could be! XxX © Catherine Inglesby 1998 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
