A Son and Brother
It seems today my loss will bring
Some pain to you and suffering
Be not dismayed, for I've been given
A second chance to go on living
You see in life I took for granted
Family I loved and GOD who planted
Those I would leave and be given
My soul now lives, in CHRIST forgiven
You may have doubts, but God's hands held
Your son and brother He saved that fell
In life more than in death today
Rising against all odds I'd say
There is joy today unseen
By my heart that never dreamed
Of better days yet I now see
This man reborn, JESUS set free
My heart feels the loss of you
Who gave me life, who helped me through
The good and bad sometimes the worse
But know my soul's no longer cursed
Drugs would change the son you knew
Brother you called from all withdrew
Yet in this state GOD would find me
Laying in need, fragile He'd see
There is peace beyond these words
Written for me, in soul mine stirred
To know my Lord has granted one
To live again, Jose your son
I close with this you I hold dear
Remember me, be of good cheer
For someday soon I will appear
Before your eyes that once cried tears
In memory of Jose Carrion
A Son and Brother
