 Angel Wings

Chorus:

Lord, I ask You to save me a pair of angel wings...
to fly around Heaven to view the beautiful things.
I don't want anything that's real fancy for me,
I want to soar through glory...happy and free.
See those pearly gates and walls of jasper shine,
feast my eyes upon the lush winding vines.
Lord, I ask You to save me a pair of angel wings...
to fly around Heaven to be with You, my Lord, my King.

Verse:

Lord, I'm asking in advance before You call me home,
save me a pair of angel wings before they're all gone.
I think about the magnificent mansion built up there,
where eyeryone will gather to sing and to share.

Verse:

My plan is to meet You up there one of these days,
I read Your words, and as You know, I constantly pray.
I plan on sitting and talking with you one day,
see Your precious face as we talk and convey.

CHORUS:

Verse:

You gave the worl a beautiful place to live,
non-believers doubts fade as sins You forgive.
It's getting to be a struggle here on this earth,
it's gotten wicked and full of all types and sorts.

Verse:

I want to stay eternally wrapped in Your arms,
until it's time you decide to call me home.
I'll keep reading Your word and talking with You,
hold onto those angel wings until my time is due.

CHORUS
