Spring Haiku

Long awaited thaw
Stabbing fingers seem so cold
Icicles melting

First robin of spring
Listens for tunneling worms
Fat with many eggs

Clouds drift and mingle
Scent of rain storm approaches
Cool vapors rising

Tall grass wind rushing
Presses down stalks bending flat
Calm comes now they stand
