i was down at the churchyard in old kinson town
attending the graves and looking around
when a gypsy addressed me with braids in her hair
she requested my help for her graveside to care
she offered me kushti and smiled with those eyes
so i tended that grave for her Roma family wise
then later she brought me the finest of ale
brought a smile to my face and my belly as well
the church had a tower and the bells they did chime
each hour of the day i tended the vine
the lads were a team of local so true
though two came from old Liverpool
we cultured the landscape and tidied the grounds
gained the rose award prize with looks that astounds
there were burials there daily and christenings too
then a party to crown it in the parish of Poole
old Gulliver haunted all this terrain
long summers past in the winds and the rains
the zunners did play here down at the green
down old millhams lane with the old gypsy queen
