Don't Judge The Cover Of A Book!
Tall and erect, strong and true,
Don't judge a book by it's cover,
For one day that could be you!
Happy and smiling, never in despair,
Don't judge a book by it's cover,
Do you even care?
Supportive and kind,
Always the same,
Don't judge a book by it's cover,
Cos that really is a shame!
Things are never as they seem,
Nothing's ever true,
Don't judge a book by it's cover,
Cos it's something you shouldn't do!
People you see every day,
Look so tanned and good,
Don't judge that cover of the book,
Ask yourself if you should!
When you look into their eyes,
Tell me, what do you see?
Healthy, happy or something else!
Or what 'you' want them to be?
So as you look about you,
Please don't judge by a look,
On the outside they may look fine?
Watch that cover of the book!
You see what people want you to see,
Nothing more nothing less,
So please don't make a judgement,
Ask but please don't guess!
She may look fine?
He may look well?
But life to them...!
Could be sheer hell?
The cover of a book's not reliable,
There's no telling what's to hide?
They may look really terrific?
But you'll never know what's inside!
So before you judge on what you don't know,
Please take the time to think,
Cos people get hurt by remarks they hear,
Their confidence gone in a blink!
Things are never as they seem,
We know this to be true...
Remember the cover of that book...
Cos you know you really should do!
