Christian Shepherds
Just as shepherds watch their sheep,
Jesus Christ will never sleep;
Watching all placed in His care,
As ruler God to declare.
Willingly does it to please God,
Of one accord giving laud;
Christ never shows disrespect,
The Father's will not reject.
It is not because He must,
Rather because of His trust;
With a desire to please,
And putting His mind at ease.
It should be for us the same,
To be able to proclaim;
Remaining humble not proud,
That makes you boastful and loud.
God makes you complete and strong,
For endurance to prolong;
If you let Him have control,
He gives an eternal soul.
