The simple philosophy
is instinctively instilled,
if you wake up
to see another day
you better find
something.
sunlight, clouds,
butterflies, music,
your eyes staring
back at you, an old
smile, smell of bread
baking, jasmine winking,
a spot on a wall, a fly
that needs a friend,
the touch of you,
you better find
something, to
be thankful for,
even if you're
waking up
to go to court,
to go to a job
you hate,
to bills
you can't pay,
next to a person
you can't stand,
you better find
something to
be thankful for,
this ain't a game,
just a chance,
out is
everywhere,
genius
is finding
ways,
genius
is
realizing
living,
genius
is quiet
as a soul.
