My sweet girl said good-bye to her daddy today
Yet we can rejoice just days before he was baptized and saved
Letting go is never easy but please remember this
With open arms he was welcomed home by his Lord Jesus
His pain is gone and now he is whole
No more suffering shall he ever know
He looks forward to seeing you again someday
Just trust in Jesus to show you the way
You still have a heavenly Father that cares for you
He'll give you love and peace if you ask Him to
When I hugged you today it was hard to let go
I felt the hurt and pain of your loss you know
You're hurting now but time does heal all
I'm here for you so don't hesitate to call
God's gift to us is memories of all the years past
Cling to them until that day you'll reunite at last
Jesus loves you and is waiting to hear
Your heart's cry for Him to be forever near
His love is perfect unlike what human's can give
Just cry out to Him and in your heart he'll come and live
Today and always although I didn't give you birth
You were from the start called "Mama's Girl"
I love you Sweetie and I feel your pain and hurt
I'll always be here for you for what it is worth
