can fall victim
to life's trivial
mockery, a door knock,
a phone ringing, talkers
in need of your time,
as you simmer
your life's recipe,
your experiences,
your thoughts,
your everyday,
a dash of secrets
a pinch of pain
a hint of anger
depending on the day
the hour, the minute,
it could be a cup
of anger, a dash
of memories,
trying to
get somewhere
with it
this life
this time
a tea spoon
of cinnamon
scratching
my head
thinking
about
New York.
