Christ Helps Us
Christ sacrificed to take away,
Our sins when we disobey;
To the Father that He will speak,
On forgiveness that we shall seek.
But we must admit our sin,
For the Spirit to cleanse within;
So never think it will imply,
To every unconfessed lie.
Jesus does help us at the time,
When we have committed a crime;
But we have to be true to heart,
To be given a brand new start.
If we claim to know Him today,
But then we still go out and stray;
Then we have committed a sin,
Because the truth is not within.
If we obey then we live love,
While knowing the One above;
Then we know to Him we belong,
Keeping our faith growing strong.
