Poetic-Verses from ATHANASE

Sterility (English)

Sterility

'Harpale, you're someone whom even you shouldn't bother knowing;

Find an object more worthy of your attention!'

John Owen

You spend your useless life being a clothes horse,

yes you, pea brain! (it must weigh less than one milligram!)

Slave of the style mags, fashion victim, swayed by advertisers' lies,

you're like a glossy photo of absolutely nothing, an empty excrescence, a pointless bit of background!

There are vast hordes of people who waste an infinite amount of time ostentatiously dressing up their size zero bodies with lots of unimportant junk yet won't find a second to decorate the vast house of their spirit with even one well-turned word.

translated from the French of Athanase Vantchev de Thracy by Norton Hodges
