MAY DAYMay Day A fantasy Comes to mind To be kind Dance around the pole Feel love in the soul Curls and taffeta dresses Ribbons of silk one caresses Deep inside Where the little girl will hide Skipping out into the sun Where the fun Of being Not seeing All the world's hate and pain Driving you insane Back to young Astro pop to your tongue Gaily bouncing to your house Quiet as a mouse With a basket of May Day flowers That empowers All the love of your mom Never put upon To hug you tight Play games with you at night Like counting cars Or wishing on the falling stars Outside her bedroom glass The love would last And it still does All because She loved me her first child She smiled back when I smiled She said that I was smart And when she died it broke my heart On this May Day, like now, she's here Room full of warm spirit near In my deep soul she'll always be My May Day momma who loves me. 4/15/2008 1815 cj Vote for this poem
