 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Sorrow wraps her arms around him.
And bending over in defeat
he whispers, "Stay...
...don't let go,
for if you leave me
where will I go from here?
Will my memories fade...
will my letting go take her from me...
will releasing the pain mean
that I am less than I have been...
will I ever be able to embrace love again...

Come sweet tomorrow,
Come take away this pain,
Come take my heartache…

Let me climb from this abyss,
Fill this hole left in my heart,
Let me shed this sense of loss and
Give me just another day with her…"

Sorrow wraps her arms around him
to give him one last, long, embrace…

Over him there hovers another,
Bathed in golden light, the Angel of Healing
Envelops him, and as he turns
He sees her there…a Gift…

She smiles…
Nods gently…
And fades slowly
In the mist of yesterday.
