I awake to a new day
A brand New Year
With bright promises ahead
I will venture thru without past fear
A bright new horizon is my focus
No more looking back
For that is not where I'm headed
as I move from the painful track
With me I will choose
What to bring along
God, Family, Friends
And a happy heart song
So much excitement lies ahead
Promises of a new beginning
A Whole New World...
It's just for my taking
This day I will embark
Upon a journey of wise choices
And leave behind the ripping sound
of all the hurtful voices
Take my hand
and walk with me
The world will be brighter
Just you wait and see
Just one quick glance back?
No I do not dare
All I my needs are with me now
In a whole new world to share.
