Lurking Snakes
Be on your guard and stay awake,
Satan is like a cunning snake;
Lurking as he waits for the chance,
Enticing to make an advance.
He already knows what you lack,
With sneaking in for the attack;
And tempting you in anyway,
In order to lead you astray.
But you must resist and prolong,
So your faith will be staying strong;
No matter how he may persist,
A strong faith will let you resist.
The Lord really cares about you,
But He needs you faithful and true;
For the day will come when the Lord,
Will be giving you a reward.
For if you are going astray,
He will not know you on that day;
And thrown in the lake of fire,
For bowing to your desire.
