Preceeding Adam's expulsion from the garden of Eden
There existed different geophysical and biological conditions
It is believed that the Sun shone permanently over the earth
The Garden of Eden was said to be found in the East
The Garden rested perpetually under the rays of the Sun
Drastic changes were wrougth at the moment of Adam's Fall
The earth was not watered by rain before the temptation
Mist ascended from the ground as dew drops on the leaves
The plants looked only to the earth for nourishment
Adam was strong and of a gigatic stature
His body was overlaid with a horny skin
The day of the Fall was a dreadful day for Adam and Eve
The sun grew dark immediately at Adam's disobedience
The flames of the everlasting swords terrified Adam and Eve
(Genesis 3:24)
The celestial lights ceased to shine from above
The heavenly illuminations before Adam's sin never returned
It was after the Fall according to Hebrew traditions
That the sun set for the first time which never happened before
Adam and Eve wept bitter tears of extreme fear all through the night after the Fall
But then they realized that the Seasons had been created
During the winter they feared that the earth would remain dark
But with the coming of the Spring the days grew longer and longer
The earth went through many dramatic changes also
Independent before, the earth was not self-supportive anymore
It had to wait upon the rain to be watered from above
According to Hebrew legends Adam diminished in size
Gone was his tall statute and oustanding strength
The angels and celestial beings were grieved
By the transgression of Adam and Eve
