The Cheerful Giver
I do not need to write,
On the money you might;
As you honor and laud,
For the people of God.
It is good when you give,
Being eager and active;
Living more just like Christ,
With something sacrificed.
Better to desire,
Rather than a liar;
As a jubilation,
Not an obligation.
For a cheerful giver,
Giving gold and silver;
To sincerely express,
Is one that God will bless.
God freely gives His gift,
Helping all to uplift;
Only fair to give some back,
For helping those who lack.
