Like Every Other Person

I wake up every morning and I have some good days
But then there are some others that blow me away
There have been times when I felt the air beneath my feet
And those times I went to bed without dinner to eat
I have lost  my job in the middle of the Christmas season
Had friends turn their backs on me for no specific reason
I've be so sick a few times that I thought I would die
And had successful opportunities disappear before my eyes
Had my heart broken, cheated on, and lied to
Found love and lost love because it wasn't true
There have been times when I myself told a lie
I have broken some hearts and made people cry
Just like every other person, I find life to be hard
Believing the grass to be greener in sombody else's yard
I have felt unforgiven, detestable in God's eye
Had days I felt depressed and didn't know why
Wether burnig from the sun, or drowning in the rain
I have seen many other flowers living through the same
Death took my big brother, baby sister, and even my mother
It has taken from me what it has left to many others
Yet this I can't ignore despite how I try
Someone, somewhere has suffered loses greater than I
Sunrise, to sunset, tough times will be there
But I no longer believe they will be more than I can bare
I will laugh sometimes, and others I will cry
But I can't give up and not even try
I'll stand tall, fight, and believe in myself
I will live and I will learn like everyone else
