White sky heavy clouds
Flock of small birds frenzied flight
Her fear lies sleeping

Smell of dampened bark
Soft moss and leaves a carpet
She crouches waiting

Footprints found in snow
Scent of prey drifts through cold air
Fire in her belly

Watching each movement
Patiently observes her prey
Keeping her distance
