Being Grateful
The Lord has made me grateful,
For thoughts that have been vital;
Knowing that I shall not fear,
Because He is always near.
I am not one to complain,
And always enduring pain;
Regardless little or much,
I can feel His soothing touch.
I learned to be satisfied,
Since I started to abide;
With all that I read and heard,
That's in the Holy Word.
I know about being poor,
And to find an open door;
To be last and to be first,
As well as hunger and thirst.
But Christ does give me the strength,
To face all at any length;
Making through the good and the bad,
As well as happy and sad.
