The Broken Dogs Of Life
The broken dogs
of life
move about, cautious,
full of experienced hell,
paying the price
of loyalty, commitment,
one way trust,
unconditional love:
is genius,
the broken dogs
of life
are alone
by virtue,
as vice
runs the show,
the broken dogs
of life
have eyes that smile
even in sadness,
will always
come up to you,
hug you, believe,
whispering
I'll give you
a chance
if you promise
not to break
my heart,
tale waging,
heart pumping,
puppy eyes.
