 MERELY    A    GLIMPSE

A glimpse of happiness
And love was bound
My heart quivered shyly
It beat to the sound
Of a boy and a girl
On a path to nowhere
Sparks of chemistry
Love would dare

Step into my sphere
Utter quiet my name
Where strangers had called
Travellers weary and lame
Come rest beside me
Fireworks hypnotise my view
I have waited my life
Merely a glimpse of you
