LIFE IS STRANGE

I had poison oak for the first time in my life last summer
To say the least it was a bummer

I itched and scratch till my arms were bloody
calamine lotion was my constant buddy

After many shots and strong medicine I finally was healed
The happy relief I felt was real

In the fall I had a strange breaking out
I thought it was poison oak again without a doubt

For my doctor I did look
Shingle - said he - my case could be in a text book

His medicine cause my illness to be mild
They were caused from the chicken poxes
I had when I was a child

In January I had pneumonia
For the third time since the New Millennium
Friends sent pots of a favorite flowers by the name begonia

There is this truth to tell
One minute can be happy - the next one blue
One day sick - the next one well

This I know -  life is strange
As we go down life's road - the lane is in a constance change

Each day is a blank page - a gift from our Creator
I will trust His - for there is no one greater
